November 21/17/Flautist (Flute player)
Nickname: Lia
Personality: Lia is a reclusive person. She usually keeps to herself, and whenever she is playing her flute she never responds to anyone, and even if she does begin to talk with someone she'll mostly listen and add a word or two in affirmation. She doesn't have many friends; the closest being outside of her family right now is her Lilligant Lycoris.
Lie loves to play her flute and is happy when people enjoy it, some even giving her money or asking her to play at parties and she does so, except for when she is playing on the Anville Town bridge she accepts nothing from others.
Though she takes trips to Nimbasa sometimes Lia hardly ever strays far from home, choosing so far not to go on her journey as a trainer. Whenever her parents asks if she wants to go recieve a starter from Prof. Juniper she always responds that "the trains wouldn't have lullabies to soothe them to sleep if I left."
In a way Lia is scared of going too far away from home and familiar surroundings. She feels that if she away for too long everything in her life would change too much, along with the home she would come back to. Despite all these fears in reservations however she is still a kind person with a practical sense of right and wrong: though quiet she is not a person to be trifled with.
Backstory: Aurelia was born in Anville Town to a loving mother and father, the latter working at the Nimbasa Battle Subway as a conductor and at times battler. Lia always loved it when people would come to trade on the weekend and have festivals; she would talk to the travelers' and loved to hear news of the outside world beyond the train depot that Anville Town served as.
One day when she was around nine a man would come every weekend to play his flute on the bridge. She watched him for a few weeks before gathering up the courage to speak to him, learning that his name was Ludwig, and that he was there to give the trains a lullaby.
Lia didn't understand what the man meant but she would still come and visit him. Ludwig seemed to enjoy her company and even started to teach her to play the flute. After four years of tutoring and friendship on the day of Aurelia's 13th birthday Ludwig brought the girl a present; a Petilil. Lia was overjoyed with the Pokémon and with so asked Ludwig if they could battle, but the man had to decline.
Throughout the years they had known each other Ludwig's health seemed to steadily fail; though Lia hardly noticed how frail he was becoming. As she became a teenager a crush that quickly turned into love blossomed in Aurelia for the man, but she never got the change to confess her feelings: a couple of weeks after her brithday a package came in the mail that had Ludwig's flute, polished and brightened, along with two letters. The first one said that Ludwig died from surgery complications at a Hospital in Castelia and that the flute was ordered to be sent to her if anything happened; the other one said that she couldn't open until her 18th birthday.
Aurelia was devastated at the loss of Ludwig. After making her parents take her to the man's grave to check for sure that what the letter said was true the girl threw herself into practicing the flute; at times for up to hours everyday. She grew much more reserved; however despite the pain she felt Lia never neglected the Petilil that Ludwig entrusted to her: Lycoris.
When Lycoris was considered high enough in level Aurelia began to participate in the trade fairs again on the weekends as well as play Ludwig's flute; hoping to be able to barter a Sun Stone. One day she met a trainer who said he had a Sun Stone and he would trade it to her for ten yellow shards. Lia and Lycoris spent months looking for shards in the mountainous areas around the town that were unrouted and at times very dangerous. Both the trainer and her Pokémon had multiple close shaves and Lia ould often come home covered in dirt and scrapes.
One weekend however when she finally gathered enough shards she met with the trainer; but instead of giving her a Sun Stone like he promised he began to runaway with the shards. Aurelia became furious and chased down the man, Lycoris used Stun Spore on him to find out he didn't have a Sun Stone in the first place.
Lia grew distrustful of outsiders; even when her father saved up money and got Lycoris a Sun Stone a month or so later she withdrew from the traders that would come into the town on the weekends by playing her flute more and more. Now she has reached a crossroads: she is taking more trips into Nimbasa, even participating with Lycoris in some battles, but she has made no movement into planning a Pokémon journey and leaving her home.
Appearance: Aurelia is around 5'7, tall for a girl. She has waist length chestnut brown hair that is heald back by a grass green ribbon in a bow and almond-shape eyes that are gold in color. She has a collared knee-length dress the same shade as the ribbon with puffy short sleeves. In the colder weather months she wears long and thick brown stockings, a thick brown long coat that has short enough sleeves to always leave her hands exposed and black boots. In warmer months she has short white socks and black penny loafers.
Pokémon:
Lycoris (Lilligant) F/Serious/Strong-willed- Lia's closest companion and her first Pok?mon. Lycoris was born at a daycare to a Lilligant and Whimsicott. Both trainer's however were unable to keep the baby once she hatched so she was taken care of by the Day care owners until Ludwig came. She doesn't particurally like playing with other Pok?mon, at times finding them juvenile in their antics.
Lycoris views Aurelia not only as her trainer but mistress; she is Lia's confidant and takes pride in being close to her. Though it is difficult for even vetran trainers to take care of Lilligant's Lycoris is in top form of health; even though during colder months she stays inside her Pok? ball outdoors and has her own heat lamp at home. Lycoris wishes that Lia would focus on herself more instead of the Lilligant's needs, but doesn't speak against her.
Lycoris does take satisfaction from participating in battles and enjoys the chance she gets to do so when going into the city.
