A fairly rural region found just west of Kanto's border. While mountainous in the northeast, most of Johto is composed of sprawling hills and grasslands with the massive city of Goldenrod at its heart. Many of the region's other towns are fairly small and integrated into their natural surroundings.
The Whirl Islands protected by treacherous waters bring a mysterious presence from one side of the region, while the dangerous Mt. Silver looms ominously from the other end.
