At seeing all the snow pile up and the pokémon poking their heads out, he had to shake his head and smile, it was inevitable. Natsu on the other hand fluttered around, sniggering about she having payback for laughing at her trainer. Then she did scuffle a bit of snow around with her feet and claws, hitting lightly with the powder both trainers and the buried pokémon, chirping happily.
Austin had already been thinking of ways to remove the snow, maybe make Natsu use heat wave and ask Cress to make Simipour use scald at the same time and hope that then the snow was low enough for them to start shoveling. Then Cress called the pansear and he slapped mentally for forgetting that the gym was crawling with elemental monkeys. He wondered how would they have managed if they didn't have pansear or even pokémon with them.
"Well, that was a bit anticlimatic. The weather was supposed to be clear here today as well."

As soon as the pansear's job was done, the monkey Pok?mon went back to doing whatever it had been doing before. Simipour and Azumaril, on the other hand, were slightly disappointed that the snow was gone. What snow had been on them had already melted, which neither really minded. Still, now if they wanted to play in it the two would have to go outside. With a slightly dejected look on their faces, the two went back to stand by their trainer.
"Well, how climatic can melting snow actually?" He said with a mixture of a sarcastic and joking tone in his voice. "You're right about the weather though. We definitely weren't supposed to get this much snow. I hope it doesn't make traveling to wherever you're going next difficult." Azumarill and Simipour got just the slightest bit sad at the mention of their new friend leaving.

"True enough, although I was referring at the trapped by snow situation." It would have been difficult for him to get the situation under control by his own, as Natsu's heat wave wasn't strong enough to carve a path by herself. "I just forgot there were fire pokémon here, usually I have to rely only in her and myself to get us out from any pinch we're in." Natsu felt a bit bad now that her friends were sad at the lack of snow and decided to land and show them the wonders of puddle-jumping on a shallow one near them, but far enough that she wouldn't wet their trainer's clothes. At the mention of traveling through snow he perked up but grimaced when he remembered the winds from earlier. "It's relatively close, I rent a room in Nacarene so I can train in both the forest and the route. It does seem best to leave now that it's only snowing. He noticed that Natsu and the others deflated maybe a bit funny at the mention of him leaving. Perhaps he could pop in a later date. He still had a thing against Cilan to settle.

Cress could understand why Austin would have thought the solution to the problem was a bit anticlimactic. "Its understandable. Being out on your own makes you have to adapt to certain conditions and what not." Now that he thought about it, it had been quite a while since he had been out on his own. Sure, there had been the days where he left to train, but those never lasted very long. After all, he did have a restaurant to run. No matter what his brothers tried to tell him or anyone else, he would always believe he was really the one in charge.
Azumarill and Simipour enjoyed the splashes of water. Winter and the weather that it brought kind of hindered both of their abilities to have any kind of fun in it. The two proceeded to jump around in the puddle with Natsu.
"That's not too bad then. Would be nicer if it was a bit warmer, but I suppose you can't ask for too much this time of year." As Azumarill and Simipour a few more splashes, they returned to their trainer's side, sad to see their new friend go. "You'll have to come back some time. I'm sure anyone here would be happy to battle again." Cress patted Simipour on the head. "And I'm sure these two would be more than elated to get to play again."

"Well, it's not too long until the Sawsbuck and Deerling change form, it'll be nice to get out and not have to worry about snow or heavy winds." After that, it was just a matter of paying the bill, getting extra care to walk slowly because Natsu was already sulking even when finishing up playing with the others. He picked up his coat and she flew up to his shoulder. She looked positively deflated.
"Hey, chin up, we still have to get back here and challenge Cilan. We're going to return and you can show them how strong are you ok?" The swoobat just nodded and settled more securely in her spot, already both at the door. "Well, it was certainly pleasant to chat and battle with you, but we have to go. C'mon, say good bye." Natsu looked a bit sad but waved her wing at all of them at the door in a goodbye salute.

Azumarill and Simipour both waved goodbye to their new friend as Natsu and her trainer walked out of the door. They were sad to see her go, as could be told from the expressions on their faces. At the same time though, they had heard Austin promise that they would come back some day. The small silver lining was enough to make the parting bittersweet at its worst.
Cress waved as well as Austin left. That had been a nice distraction from what had been shaping up to be a rather boring day. He even found himself looking forward to the next time the young trainer came to visit.
