“I have a feeling if I sang this loud enough,”

Someone would be fired or dead at the end of the day!
The image was played in his mind a thousand times over, and was like the kindling on a flame! Xenneth Hikari, even now, was nothing short of frustrated as he stood on the edge of the festival grounds aligned with other booths in Nimbasa City. The usual sight of the city was enhanced ten-folds with the festive mood: the Ferris Wheel was adorned with more colorful variants of blue, green, and red as it spun around with couples boarding its structure, the buildings were adorned with lights shaped with associated Christmas figures that were historically familiar, and the smiles were too numerous to even begin a count.
Yes, even Xenneth, now was showing a smile with teeth clinched, eyes tightly closed, and fingers shaking with rage as he had a hand full of pamphlets.
“This is humiliating!” his teeth cringing and tight from heated rage and not winter cold.
Xenneth was not comfortable dressing like this! Not at all! However, the other Inn employees had always taken it a step too far when it came to his job around Orchid Inn. Sure, he loved them all like they were older sisters, but that was also another problem! They were like older sisters who teased little brothers! They had done him a good service as they handled all the necessary paper work, volunteered to take care of the Inn’s upkeep, and play nice homage to any residents or visitors to the Inn. They even taken payment of what Xenneth could offer nicely with a smile while going about their lives as if they lived perfectly!
However, this part was just too much!
"Have a nice day!" he said painstakingly cheerful in voice "Also, sorry! I am going through divorce number six!"
Xenneth stood out like a red flag amongst his cheery crew! The Inn was in good hands with the girls, and that left Xenneth to journey outside alone to Nimbasa City to promote the Inn and pay trinkets to aspiring Pokémon Trainers who were trying to reach the Pokémon League. So, the violet haired boy had his hands holding pamphlets with a Premiere Ball to commemorate the festival and foster friendship if they were fortunate to catch a Pokémon during all the hoopla. They were all bundled cutely into small boxes of red or green and bound by a ribbon with each other color. Festive they were, with the event was the sight of his doubled in height and mass Kangaskhan who was tossing the gifts by the arm load from the nicely adorned white booth promoting “Orchid Inn’ behind them while letting her child and Chikorita pop in and out of its pouch handing out the gifts in her arms using their own hands (and/or vines).
Still...this did not excuse the fact Xenneth was looking like an attractive young woman for eye candy!
“Have a nice day and no, I’m not a girl! Hee He-...eh...”
Chikorita and the Kangaskhan baby paused hearing Xenneth who faced soured after seeing the next passerby take a gift, “I-I mean...h-have a nice day, sir! Heh heh...”
Where was he? Oh! Yes! Someone was getting fired!
The girls were like family, but this obsession with putting him in any dress, maid outfit, Naughty Nurse Costume, and/or (most likely) Kimono Girl outfit with hair clips and accessories was going overboard! Every time Xenneth went out his way to be hands on for the Inn instead of being just a manager, the girls had always pressured him into wearing something outrageously, ridiculous! Just last week he was serving hot, toasty Melon Bread crisps while wearing maid outfit.
Why was he wearing a maid outfit that day anyway?! There was not even any Residents that day considering they went home for the holidays!
With the past aside, now today, he was attracting so much attention to himself, and because of his feminine like features in face, body, and now attire; he was being hit on by complete strangers he told lies to by the second to stop them in the middle of their corny pick-up lines!
“Have a nice day, and sorry, I’m married!” The Kangaskhan mother, baby, and Chikorita paused and looked at him suddenly with a confused expression on their faces. “I-I mean...sorry, but I’m not looking to get married soon...eh...heh heh!”
That did not sound any better, but regardless, the trio returned to work. Xenneth’s teeth cringed, his eyes shut tightly, and the only warmth other than the clothes that were utterly degrading was his shame. This was one of the worst days of work ever, and someone was going to pay for it with their jobs...even though Xenneth knew the routine by now. They would butter him up with compliments, make it up to him, and then look back and laugh at it.
Xenneth sighed. His breath visibly escaped from his soft pink lips.
Ashamed to be standing in town dressed as he was, just as ashamed to admit no matter what girlish outfit he wore, he still loved his work family.
