-Leaf-
Female/20/ Veteran Trainer
Personality: Leaf is a determined young woman who doesn't like to take any flak from anyone. She usually relies on her own opinions or if in a tight spot her Pokémon's instincts. She is usually friendly but is quick to anger if someone does something despicable or annoying in her point of view.
Leaf loves to travel and doesn't particurally enjoy being in one area for an extended period of time, making the life of a trainer a good fit for her. She enjoys having new experiences and meeting new people, but doesn't have a lot of close human friends due to always traveling. Though she can feel a bit lonely and down in the dumps about this at times it doesn't interfere with her overall positive outlook on life and living it.
When she was younger the girl had a michevious streak, but as she got older that mellowed. Leaf does enjoy teasing once in a while, especially people she feels close to.
Backstory: Leaf was born in Pallet Town to two doting parents, both who were trainers back when they were younger but then settled down once they got married. Before she went out on her journey she had an average childhood,, and during that period she would visit Prof. Oak's lab many times not only to play with Pokémon but to look at the many books the man had about them, specifically legendaries. Oak would usually let her take the books home and the stories soon became as beloved to her as most Fairytales would be to other children. One da she came across an illustration of a strange-looking Pokémon that Prof. Oak told her was named Mew, who was believed to be the original ancestor of all Pokémon. It soon became of dream of hers to meet the myth-entrenched legendary.
Though Prof. Oak was a large part of her exposure to Pokémon, another person was who she referred to as her "Granny Aggie", who specialized in Ghost-types. Though she never gained an affinity for the type, Leaf found Ghost Pokémon interesting and didn't grow to fear them as much as other kids would.
Red and Blue were the only two children around her age nearby, so when they were little all three tended to gravitate towards eachother when it was playtime, even sleeping over at one another's houses until the boys began to get in the "girls have cooties" stage of childhood. A year before their journey was set to start she had an argument with the two and ran off in tears, refusing to speak to them until they apologized. After that the three of them drifted away from one another.
When she, Red, and Blue became of age and Prof. Oak gave them their starters and Pokédex's, Leaf was really the only one of the three to do what Oak had attended: she documented any Pokémon that she came across, capturing them if she could. While at the time this held her back from the two boys she didn't mind; finding how rushed they always seemed to be childish. It wasn't until the plot of Team Rocket was fully uncovered that Leaf started to help Red and Blue against the crime syndicate and in some ways rekindling their friendship.
Once Team Rocket fell Leaf began to realize how in many ways Red and Blue had gotten ahead of her; both battling against the Elite Four. This made her feel left out and depressed for a time until she got a call from Oak praising her on her successes at filling the Pokédex. From them on Leaf decided she didn't care if the two other trainers from Pallet Town got all the glory: just as long as she was happy with what she was doing she'd be content to watch them grow and continue being their friends. Her journey made her mature and be confident with striking out alone.
Once Leaf learned about Team Rocket's experiements with trying to perfect a clone of Mew she began to track down any leads she could, eventually leading to Cerulean Cave. a couple of years had past and the girl had gained enough skill as a trainer to get through the cave's formidible packs of wild Pokémon and mazes to find the center of the cave empty, save for some viable traces of DNA that she took to labs around Kanto: they all said no match.
This made her even more determined to find Team Rocket's clone of Mew, who she learned from notes she was able to scavenge in the old mansion on Cinnabar island was named Mewtwo. Leaf began to travel extensively acorss regions; and while gathering more information for Prof. Oak also followed leads that could do with the cloned Pokémon.
A few years past and eventually one of the leads that wasn't a dead end lead to an ecounter with the powerful Psychic type. She challenged Mewtwo to a battle which after several grueling hours Leaf with her entire team managed to defeat it. At first Mewtwo expected to be captured or worse, but the trainer only wanted to interview it. Mewtwo didn't really know how to respond so at the best moment the Psychic type knocked her out. when Leaf woke up she was in front of the nearest Pokémon Center. She was disappointed at not learning more about Mewtwo, but was happy she was able to say she battled one of the strongest Pokémon alive. And also very happy she and her Pokémon lived through the experience note.
Since then Leaf has traveled back home more to visit her parents along with Prof. Oak to keep the man updated with her findings. She also drops by to visit Blue in Viridian City when she goes to Pallet; even going up to Mt. Silver to visit Red, though she's more likely to drop by when he's visiting Pallet. She still considers Red and Blue her best friends, even if she doesn't get to see them often.
Appearance: Leaf is average height for her age. Her skin is lightly tanned because of her time spent traveling and outdoors and her body is toned from continual movement. She has brown hair that goes down to her elbows and blue eyes. She wears a light blue tank top with a dark blue poké ball insignia along the collar and a red skirt that ends lower mid-thigh. She has red and white running shoes paired with blue legwarmers and wears a wide brimmed white hat with a red Poké ball insignia on it. In colder weather she wears a white jacket and sometimes a red scarf.
Pokémon:
Blastoise M/Quirky/Capable of taking hits-[/b] Leaf's starter and and in many ways her best friend. The two have been through thick and thin. He is up for anything, despite his rather large size. Usually he is called on to help Leaf get from place to flace, and in short distances can use his water cannons to jet up into the air.
Nidoqueen F/Adament/A little quick-tempered-[/b] Another senior member of Leaf's team. She doesn't put up with any nonsense, but the fiercest fighter when Leaf appears to be in danger. She is the stern mother-figure of the team.
Butterfree M/Modest/Often lost in thought-[/b] The calmest member of the team, that is unless he gets a lot of honey into his system. Leaf met him when he was still a Caterpie around Viridian Forest, saving him from becoming a Spearow's lunch, which he is still grateful for.
Ditto NG/Relaxed/Scatters things often- Met Leaf when she was looking around the old mansion. It usually doesn't care much what goes on, but takes a liking to Nidoqueen (even though the latter usually finds the pink goo annoying). Sometimes his easy-goingness cracks, especially when around lab environments.
Gengar F/Sassy/Somewhat vain- Thinks of herself as a queen at times and the rest of the team as her subjects; not playing pranks that much since she's evolved and 'matured'. though they aren't the closest still respects Leaf as her trainer. Doesn't remember very much about her past.
Duosion F/Docile/Very finicky- Youngest member of the team, acquired in a global trade. She has quickly grown used to her surroundings and enjoys traveling with Leaf around a lot. Looks up to Blastoise.
*Other Pokémon in box but for now tis is her main team, the first two are hardly ever switched out.*
